A hugely entertaining show featuring songs about farmers, work on the farm, and celebrating the country calendar and the daily miracle of life, death, and renewal.
The world we are shown is not a romantic pastoral idyll viewed through rose-tinted spectacles, but a world full of sweat and muck; a world with dirt under the fingernails... and animals!
Following the massively popular TV series “Victorian Farm”, John Kirkpatrick presents an evening of traditional songs taking us through a year in the countryside, reflecting the highs and lows of each season, and giving an authentic voice to the old way of life.
This project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The organisers were very welcoming and offered drinks and cake as everyone arrived. The film (Ali & Ava) was different and gave an insight to other peoples lives. This is why I go to Flicks in the Sticks : to see other films rather than Box Office blockbusters and get a glimpse into other cultures around the world.
