Standing in Line is the story of the Great War, but specifically about Albert Scrimshaw, Lester Simpson’s great uncle, who died at Passchendaele. Originally commissioned by ‘Peace Concerts Passchendaele’ it was premiered in Passchendaele Church, Belgium. The performance is centred around Lester’s songs plus songs from the time, poems of Wilfred Owen, Siegfried Sassoon and Rudyard Kipling, all accompanied by a series of projected images. Age 12+
