Florence Foster Jenkins (PG)

Director Stephen Frears. Biography/Comedy/Drama

Meryl Streep stars in this affectionate biopic of the world’s worst opera singer. Most of the time, famous people become famous for doing things well. Sometimes though, people become famous for doing things BADLY. Florence Foster Jenkins was one such person. Philomena director Stephen Frears brings Jenkins’ moving and hilarious story to the big screen for the first time with Meryl Streep as the woman whom audiences would pay to hear because of her lack of rhythm, pitch, and tone.

Starring Meryl Streep, Hugh Grant, Simon Helberg, Nina Arianda, Rebecca Ferguson

Flick Advisor (comments from our film promoters)

Meryl Streep plays Florence sympathetically and in the most wonderful gowns, Hugh Grant's role was made for him but he played it for all he was worth and Simon Helberg was a delight. Poignant with some moments of laugh aloud humour and also great sadness and pathos.

Great performances by Hugh Grant and Meryl Streep. Really enjoyed by our audience with lots of laugh out loud moments.

Many in audience surprised how much they enjoyed it. Acting brilliant of the 3 stars.
