Its not about a shop at all. Dickens changed his mind. It’s a journey, a flight undertaken by the girl Nell and her gambling-addicted Grandfather. A flight from demons and enemies. In this innovative and imaginative adaptation Little Nell and Quilp are played by the same female actor reflecting the struggle between good and evil. True to the inner life of the book this adaptation shows Dickens at his best, funniest and as a master of the grotesque.
