A Bunch of Amateurs (15)

A fading LA action star (Burt Reynolds) finds himself caught between a rock and a Bard place after being duped into taking a gig as King Lear in Stratford, England. Problem is, this Stratford is not quite upon-Avon, but firmly placed in wet and muddy Suffolk. One-time Miss Moneypenny Samantha Bond is a firm but sweet director determined the play’s the thing in an undemanding comedy chosen for 2008’s Royal Film Performance. Also starring Imelda Staunton and Derek Jacobi.

A Private Function (15)

1947 in a small town in England. The war has been won two years ago, but there's still rationing of meat. When princess Elizabeth is going to marry, a group of businessmen wants to impress (or probably bribe) the local government by giving a big party. They want to slaughter an illegally raised pig for this event. Unfortunately someone steals the pig.

Two parents do what it takes to keep their children safe in a world full of creatures hunting every sound they can hear. Not a sound can be heard from the family hiding in silence, but all it takes is one noise and everything can go wrong.
